The Value Machine Review: Horse Racing Betting Software

The Value Machine is a web-based tool that instantly finds value bets based on your chosen odds range and bookmakers.

Unlike using a regular tipping service, this software can be used at any time of the day so you can fit your betting in when it suits you best.

You can also set up Telegram to get bet alerts to your phone or laptop, so whenever a selection comes up that meets your criteria you can have it automatically send you a notification.

The software was developed by Kieran Ward, who runs the highly successful horse racing tipping service called the Morning Value. Unfortunately the service is rarely open to new members to protect prices, which is where The Value Machine comes in.

Cheltenham offer

Get 14 days access to The Value Machine for just £8.

That covers the whole Cheltenham festival and every other meeting in the UK and Ireland for the next 14 days.

It uses the very same selection process as the Morning Value and is designed to be able to scan bookies for value bets throughout the day. This means that users won't be trying to bet on the same selections all at the same time.

The interface is simple and is split into tabs where you can see the bets, settings and results.

The Selections page is the where the value bets appear and after placing the bets, you can then save them so that they won’t come up in any further scans.

The Value Machine software

The selections can be downloaded in a number of formats including CSV and PDF, or they can be copied or printed.

In the Settings tab you can adjust what filter what type of bets you want to include in the scans.

  • Default Stake
  • Price Range
  • Bookmakers (20 available at the time of writing)
  • Max Selections / Race

The Results tab lists all the previous bets that have been saved and shows the result of the race, as well as automatically keeping a tally of the profit/loss and running total.

There are many ways to make use of the software by altering the settings. For example you might want to only want to bet at lower odds, or perhaps you like to dutch bet on several horses in the same race.

If you're not sure, there are some strategies that come with the software, including one with settings that will bring up broadly similar selections to the Morning Value service.

We tested The Value Machine back in 2016 and were extremely impressed with it. During our three month review we made 43.37 points profit at an ROI of 19.1%

When the software was more recently updated with the Telgram compatibility, faster odds feed and improved results tracking, we decided to give it another test run.

Again, we were pleased with the simplicity of the software and results achieved using it, with 26.75 points profit banked within the first three weeks of testing.

It's a clear pass for The Value Machine!

  1. 1 have the software and it gives numerous selections.1 had 13 yesterday just using the odds range 2 to 7.! would be interested to know how many selections you had using 2 to 21 and how you then reduce the number to 3.

    • Hi Andy, For the purpose of the review I’ve just selected a maximum of 3 per day, otherwise I would be sitting there all day refreshing the software for new bets. I have just been randomly picking them, but you could apply your own filters to narrow them down if you wanted… perhaps by the type of race, venue or length.
There’s tons of possibilities, but it’s been a good start seen as I’m just blindly selecting bets.

    • Hi Andy, I run it since October 3rd with Price Range 2 -> 21 / Max selections per race 3.
Maximus selections were 79 on October 15th. Generally: average minimum 30 and maximum 60.
