Good football tipsters are few and far between, so when I came across The Footy God, I was excited to start a review.
The service had results going back to January 2024 on the Betting Gods platform and they had been consistently building up profit ever since.
At the time of writing this introduction, the tipster had produced 84.39 points profit at an incredible ROI of 38%. That was extremely impressive for football betting, which typically has a lower return on investment.
As you can see from their profit graph, it had been smooth sailing so far:
The tips primarily looked to be Asian Handicap bets, with a few other markets occasionally mixed in.
The average odds of the selections were 1.94 and the strike rate was 71.3%, so it seemed like it would be a comfortable betting experience, free of long losing runs.
My concern was that the tipster might just have been on the right side of variance and that a correction could be on the cards. Because of this, I wanted to trial the service for at least a few months to see how things would unfold.
It turned out that my concerns were spot on as the results stagnated during my review, ultimately ending with a small loss of 5.59 points

The Footy God Review Results
Month One Update
There was a small loss of 1.43 points in the first month of my Footy God review, based on the odds available at UK bookmakers.
The results at the advised odds were slightly better, but this was down to one bet.
For the Dusseldorf 2 vs Lotte match, Lotte +0.25 was tipped at odds of 2.30, but by the time I checked, just minutes after receiving the tip, the odds had dropped to 1.73.
However, for the rest of the month, I managed to get the same or even better odds on the selections, so this seemed to be an anomaly.

Month Two Update
The Footy God experienced another challenging month, losing an additional 3.42 points.
This brought the total loss over the two months to 4.85 points.
A couple of unsuccessful bets advised at 3 point stakes contributed to this downturn, however, even with level stakes the month would have still ended with a 3.87 point loss.
Although it's disappointing, these fluctuations are all part of betting. I planned to continue monitoring the tipster's performance in hope that things would pick up soon.

Month Three Update
The third month following The Footy God produced 3.44 points profit at the available odds. Although it was an improvement, I was still down by 1.41 points overall.
It seemed that the results for the service had flatlined since August based on the advised stakes. However, at level 1 point stakes it was doing better with 4.2 points profit in total.
Given this, I felt that it would be worth extending my review to see if the tipster could recapture his previous good form and delivery some stronger results going forward.

Review Summary
Over the course of my four month review, The Footy God struggled to replicate the strong performance he demonstrated during his initial proofing with Betting Gods
With a total loss of 5.59 points during my review period, the service appeared to have stagnated compared to its previous strong form.
Although there were some positive moments, the overall performance has been underwhelming and has failed to show the consistency or profitability expected from a top football tipping service.

Based on these results, I couldn't recommend The Footy God and I gave it a "Neutral" rating.
It's worth noting that the service performed slightly better based on using flat 1 point stakes, rather than at those advised. However, it would still have been a break-even result with just 0.16 points profit, so it would not have changed my rating.
The service could have potential for improvement, but I felt that it hadn't delivered enough to justify further confidence at this stage.
I trialled this around the same time. Started off ok but tipster went on a losing run in September. He then started recommending 3 point stakes on his bets yet looking at his past results they were all 1 point bets with the occasional 2 point bets. Unfortunately the 3 point bets all lost as well. The bets then became more random ie a spanish second division womans match (which lost as well) – there were comments on his message board that the tipster was trying to claw back losses with his increased staking which seemed to be the case. I stopped following when I was11 points down.
Hi Terry, I’ll be testing it out for 3-6 months minimum so that there will be a decent amount of results to judge the service on. I will also start tracking results using level 1 point stakes to compare.
