BetHound Pro Review: Automated Greyhound Betting Software

Written by Laura Greve

BetHound Pro review

BetHound Pro automatically places up to 100 greyhound bets each day across your selected bookmaker accounts.

One of the standout features of this service is that it can still be used with partially restricted or gubbed accounts. As long as you can get a stake on, you can use it.

At present there are six bookmakers to choose from, and the team say they plan to expand this list in future.

The system has reportedly been tested live on more than 10,000 bets across various phases, showing a profit in each one.

A starting bank as small as £50 can be used, though I’m curious to see whether that would be enough to cover the subscription cost.

While I like the idea behind the software, and the early results do look promising, I do have some reservations going into this review.

I have carried out many greyhound betting reviews over the years and I've found that bookmakers are quick to limit your accounts if all you're doing is backing value greyhound selections.

That’s with a regular tipping service, but when you add automated software into the mix and a high volume of daily bets, I imagine it wouldn’t take long before the bookies shut you down.

However, if your accounts are already gubbed but still open, this could be a way to squeeze some extra profit from what’s left.

I raised this concern with the BetHound Pro team before starting my review, and they told me:

We have switched to an Each Way method and accounts are not getting restricted hardly at all now due to the fact if lower volume and more inconspicuous betting patterns. This is something that we were aware of and have put processes in place to combat.

That’s interesting, as it suggests restrictions were indeed an issue among members, but it’s good to see the team attempting to tackle the problem.

I monitored the results for several months to see how BetHound Pro performed under the new "each way" format. Read on for my full review.

Update One

BetHound Pro switched to an each-way system just over five weeks ago and although the early results looked promising, performance has dipped a little more recently.

Before diving into the figures, I need to let you know that I’m not currently able to test this system myself, as I don’t have access to the bookmakers compatible with the bot.

However, I’ve analysed the official results spreadsheet and have also been given access to another tester’s live data for comparison.

Official Results

According to the official results from Craig, since 25th September 2025 the bot has placed 2,625 bets, generating a £495.00 profit at an ROI of 9.82%.

That works out as an average daily profit of £14.14, with average daily stakes of £144.09.

System Tester Results

Using the same start date, the system tester’s bot has placed 2,499 bets, producing a £276.64 profit at an ROI of 6.5%.

Their average daily profit stands at £7.68, based on average daily stakes of £118.14.

BetHound Pro’s switch to an each-way system got off to a flying start, with profits rising quickly through late September and early October. However, since mid-October, results have levelled off.

Over 2,600 bets have been placed in just five weeks, with around £5,000 staked in total, so it’s fair to say the volume has been huge. With that many bets flying through each day, even small changes in strike rate or average odds can make quite a difference to the bottom line.

There’s also been plenty of ups and downs along the way, with some big winning days and others hitting a rough patch, which is pretty typical behaviour for each-way greyhound betting.

When comparing Craig’s official data with another tester’s, results are broadly similar but not identical. Craig’s bot produced a 9.82% ROI versus 6.5% for the tester. That gap is likely down to differences in bookmaker access, odds timing, bank settings and account limits.

Overall, it has been a positive start and the system has been generating a profit, but it will be interesting to see what happens after the recent dip.

I'll be back next month with another update.

Update Two

Official Results

Since my last update, the official results show that the bot has placed a total of 6,035 bets and generated £618.70 profit at an ROI of 7.18%.

That works out as an average daily profit of £11.46, with average daily stakes of £159.59.

This covers dates from 25th September - 23rd November 2025.

The official results show that since my last update, the bot made £123.70 profit.

As you can see in the graph below, the profit has levelled off since the strong run the bot had at the beginning.

Bethound Pro month two graph

System Tester Results

During those same dates, the system tester’s bot has placed a total of 4,844 bets, producing £187.51 profit at an ROI of 2.7%.

This means that since my last update, the tester lost £89.13

Their average daily profit stands at £3.35, based on average daily stakes of £125.24.

It’s interesting to see the stark difference between the official results and the tester’s results over the same period.

This really comes down to which bookmakers each person has access to and the stakes they’re able to get on, so results will vary quite a lot from user to user.

I’ll report back next month with another update.

Update Three

Official Results

The updated results show that the bot has placed a total of 12,327 bets and generated £1,058.87 profit at an ROI of 7.04%.

That works out as an average daily profit of £12.91, with average daily stakes of £183.55.

The official results show that since my last update, the bot made £440.17 profit.

System Tester Results

The system tester’s bot has placed a total of 9,282 bets, producing £377.68 profit at an ROI of 3.29%.

This means that since my last update, the tester made £190.17 profit.

Their average daily profit since 25th September stands at £4.44, based on average daily stakes of £135.25.

Bethound Pro has added a further seven bookmakers to the bot, taking the total to 21.

This is great news and should open up more opportunities to make use of bookmaker accounts that might otherwise be sitting idle.

Update Four

Official Results

Since my last update there has been some disruption to the service due to the adverse weather we have been experiencing in the UK. Many races were abandoned in January due to frozen tracks, but interestingly, Boxing Day saw the most bets in a day so far.

There were 608 bets tracked on that day, but unfortunately it turned out to be a big losing day.

Results show that the bot has placed a total of 13,868 bets and generated £1,022.80 profit at an ROI of 6.16%.

That works out as an average daily profit of £11.12, with average daily stakes of £180.35.

The official results show that since my last update, the bot lost £36.07.

System Tester Results

The system tester’s bot has placed a total of 10,458 bets, producing £320.58 profit at an ROI of 2.52%.

This means that since my last update, the tester lost £57.10.

Their average daily profit since 25th September stands at £3.41, based on average daily stakes of £135.55.

Review Summary

It’s always good to see new and innovative products in the betting world, and the BetHound Pro software is certainly an interesting one.

Initially, I had some concerns over whether betting accounts would be lost when using the service. However, the same could be said for almost any profitable betting product.

The official results show a profit of £1,022.80 at an ROI of 6.16% since I started the review in September 2025. The profit graph showed a steep upward climb early on, but this has since levelled out into more steady growth.

The system tester’s experience has been quite different, recording a profit of £320.58 at an ROI of 2.52% over the same period.

This difference could be influenced by factors such as which bookmakers are used and how much of a balance they have available in each.

My main concern is that there have also been reports from members whose results are much closer to the system tester’s figures rather than the official results.

When the membership fee (currently £60 per month) is taken into account, this leaves roughly £30 profit per month based on these results.

For many people, that may not represent good value, particularly given that this style of betting is likely to lead to account restrictions more quickly than other forms of value betting.

After weighing everything up, I felt that a neutral rating was the most appropriate conclusion.

  • Hi, Laura, thank you for your diligent work. It would be interesting to have a list of bookmakers that can be used. As a matched bettor I have been gubbed by all the major firms despite making decoy bets to break patterns. As a retiree automatic betting would suit me.

    • Hi John,

Full list of bookmakers is as follows:

      Akbets
      Bet600
      Betfair Sportsbook
      Betgoodwin
      Betmgm
      Bettom
      Betwright
      Bresbet
      Coral
      Dragonbet
      Grosvenor
      Kenhowells
      Ladbrokes
      Leovegas
      Nrg
      Octobet
      Paddy Power
      Pricedup
      Skybet
      Starsportsbet
      William Hill

  • Best wishes on your future endeavours Laura and thank you for all your reviews over the years. Your reviews have been an oasis of helpful, accurate and informative advice in a desert of scams and misinformation. I’ll miss them!
