Fantastic Eights is a horse racing tipster service which focuses mainly on handicap races and smaller fields.
We've now carried out two trials and made a profit both times when following tipster Frankie's selections. In 2016 we achieved 95.65 points profit at 5.9% ROI.
We then carried out a second Fantastic Eights review in 2018 and finished with 341.75 points profit at a very impressive 25.2% ROI. During that four month period, we more than doubled our starting bank!

Introduction
Frankie's strategy for Fantastic Eights is to focus on races with an average 5-6 runners, but sometimes stretch to 8 runners.
Like many of us, Frankie spent a lot of time hopping from one betting system to the next without any success. He eventually decided to focus on developing his own strategies and, after putting in a lot of hard work, Fantastic Eights was born.
I started focusing on horse racing and mainly handicap races and small fields. This is when around three years ago I had some eureka moments and patterns started to appear in my strategies, which I have managed to fine tune over the last couple of years.

Fantastic Eights
Selections are sent out daily, usually between 11am-12pm. This is later than many tipster services which often send their emails out the evening before or early morning, but Frankie prefers to monitor the markets and make sure the running conditions are ok. There is also an email sent out if it is a 'no bet' day.
The tips come with advised odds and stakes, which are set at 5pts per bet. We were able to get the advised odds on most occasions, but there were times when the prices started to shorten soon after.
The average available odds were 11.69 in trial 1 and 11.73 in trial 2, so not much difference there.
During both trials, the selections ranged between short priced favourites from evens upwards to huge priced outsiders up to 201.00. This meant that we often experienced long losing runs, sometimes with more than 20 losing bets in a row, but we did manage to hit some high priced winners which made it up for it.
Summary of Review One
The first month of our first review was a rocky ride! At our lowest point we were nearly 76 points down, then at our highest point we were 150 points up! We finished the month with a tidy profit of 31 points.
With all that variance, it was quickly apparent why the starting bank of 300 points was recommended.
Month two resulted in a massive 222.30 points profit at the advised odds.
However, we checked the available odds for each and every selection in order to report what is actually achievable as a subscriber. Based on the best prices we were able to find, we managed 198.55 points profit (36.8% ROI).
During the month, we had a losing streak of 22 bets which lost 110 points. However, a number of big priced winners such as Paddy Wells 16/1, Billy Bronco 18/1 and Lochnell 11/1 outweighed the losses.
Month three was a tough one, but we already had enough in the bank to end the trial nicely in profit.

Summary of Review Two
It had been almost two years since our first Fantastic Eights review, so we decided to carry out another trial to make sure that the service was still worthy of a pass rating.
The reported results claimed a profit of around 1300 points at the advised odds since our first review. However, the majority of bets are advised at stakes of 5 points each, so at level 1 point stakes it would have been approximately 260 points profit.
That averaged out at 11-12 points profit per month, which is a very respectable return. Of course, advised prices are not verified results, which is why we started a new trial.
Month one of the new trial was a tough start, with our bank depleting by almost 50% before making a slight recovery.
The second month provided a much-needed recovery though, largely thanks to a 40/1 winner which netted 200 points profit at the advised stakes. At the available odds, we were now at 89.9 points profit (14.3% ROI).
Month three returned another profit, this time 152.2 points at the available odds. We'd now achieved an 80% increase to our bank over three months but it was the same rocky ride as before.
Because of the variance, we decided to continue tracking results for a fourth month. Ups and downs are perfectly normal when backing at odds as high as 100/1 since those sort of winners don't come along too often!
We added just short of 100 points profit during the final month to end up with 341.75 points for the trial overall.

Overall Summary
Fantastic Eights is not for the faint-hearted!
The longest losing run that we experienced during the first trial was 30 bets and the second trial wasn't far off, with a streak of 25 losing bets. Psychologically, this can be difficult (especially as a new subscriber) so it's important to bear in mind.
It requires patience and the right mindset to be handle the variance and ride out the bad runs. However, if you can get past that hurdle, there are plenty of rewards to be reaped from this service.
Having made a profit during both trials, we have no hesitation in adding Fantastic Eights to our list of passed services.
