Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs review

Football Trading Clubs is a Betfair football trading and betting service from Banker Bets, led by professional trader Chris.

Chris has been trading football for several years and has been generating a steady income from it after developing his keys to success; discipline, mindset and bank management.

His results for 2022 show a total profit of £7,373.28, with stakes varying from £20 to £100, depending on the strategy.

Although his service is available on the Banker Bets website run by John Baker, it is not connected to the Banker Bets main service and he runs it separately via the Telegram app.

He uses a variety of trading strategies, with a mix of backing and laying, some pre-match and some in-play.

Below are some of the strategies in use when we joined the service, but there have been some added/removed since then:

  • Lay The Draw
  • Double Chance / Draw No Bet
  • Pre-game Overs
  • Half Time Lay The Draw
  • 60 Minute Lay The Draw
  • Second Half Goal

According to the results on the website, the Second Half Goal strategy has had the best performance of the bunch with £2,517.77 profit, but all strategies are showing a profit.

The profit figures on the website are based on straight betting the selections without any trading out, so technically it is possible to use the selections as set and forget rather than trading.

There is a guide to how the strategies work and how to work stakes out, but all selections are sent out on the Telegram group. 

When to exit the trades is a personal decision but there is some advice on this in the guide and he sometimes posts his personal trading decisions in the group.

The website states that locking in profit or exiting trades would result in a much greater profit, but it’s hard to say if that is correct without seeing any figures.

We tried the service out for ourselves and recorded our own results, including some trading and some set-and-forget.

We traded as many selections as we could for one month, but as it was quite high volume on the weekends, we couldn't cover everything.

Review Summary

Our Banker Bets Trading Clubs review had started fairly well and we had built up a profit of 12.88 points at one stage, but in the end, we gave it all back and finished the month with a loss of 8.53 points.

It was quite a difficult review to run, as there were a lot of selections at weekends and several ways to play them.

We could have opted for a total set-and-forget route, which would have been easier, but at first we thought it was best to try trading the selections. Since it was labelled as a trading service, we wanted to see how that would go.

There was a guide that offered some advice on how to trade the selections and there were some notes on the daily selection sheet next to each strategy.

We could see that it would be difficult for Chris to advise exactly how to trade each of his selections, and even if he did, most people have their own preferred way of doing things.

We found that our results were going quite well by trading the selections, up until the Home Value Win strategy had a terrible day. Whether we had been trading or straight-betting those selections, it would still have been a nightmare day.

All of our profit had been wiped out in one day and we spent the rest of the month trying to recover from it.

In the previous three months before we started our review, Home Value Win had hit 31.09 points profit, so we had been quite unlucky. That seems to happen a lot during our reviews though!

We lost 9.71 points from that strategy, but we did have better results from LTD Revisited, which we were able to achieve 6.61 points from out of 10 trades. The 15 Min LTD trades, that were in-play notifications from the Telegram group, netted us 5.16 points profit from 7 trades.

Chris puts a lot of work into this service and we have no doubt that his selections would be useful for some traders and bettors. For those new to football trading, we think that it would be quite overwhelming and would go as far as saying that it is unsuitable for beginners.

We decided to start straight-betting the selections towards the end of the month, which was much less time-consuming.

Unfortunately, due to the service being quite full on, we could only run our review for one month.

However, we have found the record of results that Chris keeps to be accurate, so you can clearly see which strategies are performing well. You could just pick a few of the best performing strategies and follow them.

It is certainly worth a look if you are interested in receiving trading selections that have already been researched, but it is not a service that will suit everyone.

We feel that a Neutral rating is fair for Banker Bets Trading Clubs.
