Racing Excellence is a horse racing tipping service offering a number of strategies to suit all types of bettors.
There are options for betting at short or long odds, backing or laying and each-way or straight wins. Tips are published to the blog daily and results date back to September 2017.
Racing Excellence is run by tipster Steve, who has more than 30 years of knowledge and experience in the betting world.
At the time of our review there was not an email notification system in place, but this is something the service has planned for the future. We logged in to the blog each morning around 9.30am when the tips are posted.
Each strategy has an advised staking plan and they are all based on starting with £1000 each. The results are recorded using a separate bank for each strategy, but it is possible to combine them if preferred.
The standard VIP tips and Best Bet of the Day strategies use adjusted stakes of 1% of the bank for each bet. The 5F Fav Lays, aim to win 2% of the bank from each lay and the Rags to Riches strategy is an each-way bet totalling 1% per bet is advised.
To keep things simple, we updated our stakes on a daily basis and we also recorded results using flat 1 point stakes.

Month One Results
A tough start for our Racing Excellence review with a loss made in three of the four sets of tips.
The main VIP member's tips finished the month with a loss £206.52, (12.6% ROI) based on stakes of 1% of the bank.
The "Best Bet of the Day" tips made a small loss of £23.10 and the "Rags to Riches" selections finished with a loss of £72.05.
There were only 3 qualifiers for the "5F Fav Lays" but they all returned a profit, making a total of £61.21.

Month Three Results
Another loss for the main VIP tips of £113.65 (-3% ROI) at the available odds, but actually made a slight profit of £19.68 at Betfair SP.
The "Best Bet of the Day" selections made a profit of £24.56 at an ROI of 3.4% and again did better using BSP odds, making a profit of £72.04 (9.8% ROI).
The "5f Fav Lays" generated a profit of £225.37 (23% ROI) although there were only a total of 18 qualifying selections for this strategy over the three months.
The "Rags to Riches" system had the worst performance with a loss of £344.90 (-48.1% ROI)
All in all, if we were following all four systems we would have finished the three month trial with a loss of £208.62 based on staking 1% of a £1000 bank for all of the systems except the 5f lays, which operates a 2% win per race staking plan.
There was also a "Big Race Fund" set up for Cheltenham and this was also used for some other big races such as the Scottish Grand National and of course, the Aintree Grand National festival. Starting with a bank of £1000, these tips made a profit of £350.
Adding our profit from the big races to our loss from the main systems, gave us a total profit of £141.38.
